Nanyaar?

Its a Holiday today

In Just talk, New People on April 6 at 9:07

I was thinking that today, is a Sikh Holiday back in India, which was proved wrong to me as one of my friends told me about the disco party arranged by the Indians in regard to today's Ram Navami I know that you have several questions to ask me now but let me give you some answers., firstly yes, I do live outside India, and secondly yeah I had a holiday today and yeah, I am d e f i n i t e l y sure I am not a participant in the Vodkha-thon race.

Its kinda funny that although India being the country with most number of holiday's, people who actually live there are not blessed with all the holidays which I certainly am enjoying here in Armenia, not because I want to but just because I am an Indian. Now isn't that really nice? I get holidays for every other big/small Indian holiday no matter if it was a Hindu, Muslim, Christian or Sikh festival plus I get the added International days off along with the Armenian and the Russian holidays. :D

It was a lazy afternoon, until I received the sms "Meet at 6 pm", then I remembered that it was today I was to be introduced to two other friends of Onnik, one a journalist and the other a blogger and hopefully my friends now.

I made to to 'Tiffosi', an Itallian pizza place, 5 minutes after six, Onnik was the first one there along with his son. Little David all engrosed in the small pack of football star photos that he had just received. But I was glad that I din't have many people waiting. Then came along Hasmik, a bubble that she is, with looks of a teenager. She is not a blogger, but sources say that she is one of the best journalist in town. Has just finished writing a book about her trip to India, which is to be published in Russian. Her knowledge and love for India took me my suprise. And while we were having out our chat Nessuna called us to let us know that she would be running in a bit late.

The girl clad in black, was with us. Nessuna is one of the blogger at oneworld. A quiet personnality, all calm and possed up. It was like Avril Lavringe taking a seat in front of me, her wrist band told it all. And some call her a Nationalist you can listen to. I have linked some of the post she has written.

  • The Solar Eclipse

  • A Weekend in Berd

  • Money for Nothing?

  • It was sure was a holiday well spent as I got down from Mashutka number 4 near the Lambada moste' and walk down all the way to my room back here feeling the chill breeze over my face.

I am sure this is not the end of me meeting them, we have planned to do some stuff together, and yes this is just the beginning.

But yeah I know. Seems like things are working out now tho for the best.

    7. Eeeo. How the heck did I land up in the “barbie dolls with attitude” category??!?! I most certainly do NOT take that as a compliment…but you are entitled to say anything you want in the privacy (or non-privacy) of your blog so… I won’t start blasting you. ha ha.

What’s “Casual Friday” supposed to mean? I thought that meant “dress-down to work Day”. . . . I don’t get how that applies to the blogs in that category.

Anyways, must be cool meeting with all these journalists – Onnik and the others. But why are you doing it? Just for fun? Or are you working on some project with them?

      Have a great weekend!

    11. [...] As part of a new project on Indians in Armenia I recently made contact with Nanyaar?, an Indian student and blogger currently living in Yerevan. Last week, when we met for the second time, Nanyaar asked me if I was interested in cricket, but even though I was born in England and only left for Armenia in 1998, my gut response was to say no. Admittedly, I did enjoy playing this typically British game when I was at school, but watching it on TV seems pretty much akin to watching paint dry, in my opinion. [...]

    12. don’t sayang sayang me.. *ammu got upset edi
