Poja informed us from India that she had given press statments right after landing. And Even Aaj Tak made a coverage on it. Below are some excerpts from “The Statesman“, one of the oldest newspaper in West Bengal.
[...]Shell-shocked family members received the body of Prashant Anchalia, who died on Thursday after apparently falling from the sixth floor of the Yerevan State Medical University’s hostel in Armenia, at Bagdogra airport around 1.30 pm today.
A pall of gloom descended on the town as Prashant’s body reached his residence at Church Road here from Bagdogra airport. A large number of people had gathered outside the residence of the Anchalias to bid adieu to Prashant, whom they used to know as a brilliant student, who he died in mysterious circumstances in Armenia.[...]
This is the second website to write about this Issue after “The Telegraph” , his parents who doubt his roomate, have asked the CBI and the Interpool to intervene.
| [...]Mr Pankaj Anchalia said what they heard from Puja and Abhishek was unfortunate. “Either the CBI or the Interpol should probe the incident,” he demanded. Mr Anchalia also lashed out at the Prime Minister’s Office for not responding to their fax message. “The Government of India should have helped us bring the body from Armenia. But they did not. Had the Lok Sabha Speaker, Mr Somnath Chatterjee, not intervened, the body would not have reached Siliguri today,” he said. “Mr Somnath Chatterjee had contacted the Indian amabassador in Armenia, Mrs Reena Pandey, and instructed her to extend all possible help to us. It sounds to me that the wishes of Prashant Anchalia’s family is that answers must be given and those who prevented his life from being saved must be punished.
Keep this in mind when you meet with the rector on Tuesday. You may want to take a copy of the Statesman story with you so she better understands the wishes of the family.
I hope they find out the actual reason of his death & may the guilty be punished.
BTW, u’ve been tagged by me

Incidently, Hetq Online journalist Hasmik Hovhannisyan tells me that she’s heard reports that Anchalia’s relatives protested outside the Armenian Embassy in India. [...]
Atleast at last some newpaper did act. And still amazed by the PMO, not to give out a clarification. The justice has to be given to anchalia, and then rector to be punished without any mercy on her part.
